A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from al-Hassan ibn Ali ibn Yaqtin from Ya’qub ibn Ali ibn Yaqtin from his brother Ali ibn Yaqtin who has said the following: “Abu Ibrahim, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘Allah, the most Blessed, the most High, has not made wine unlawful because of its name. He has made it unlawful because of its consequences, therefore, whatever, works as wine does, it then is wine.’”
